I went strolling on Praia do Pecado Beach yesterday, Saturday, the 27th. And was really surprised with the internationality of the First Macaé Pro Surf and Macaé Eco Surf.
Pecado Beach is located in Macaé, State of Rio de Janeiro. A place well known by surf lovers, for its generous nature and nice waves. (What I really like the most about the surfing community is not based on appearances. Each person is real to his own style and way of thinking. Specially, people who love the Ocean are more capable to accept the ups and downs of the real life wave).
There we go, a great Festival in Macaé which aggregates Sustainable Worlds comprehending Surf, Waves, Beautiful People, Handcraft, Local
Breweries, Recycling, Cleaning, Yoga, Natural Fruit Juices, Clothing, amongst others, with many great conferences on how we can make a better World for all of us. Great initiative of the "Macaé Surf Association" - Associação de Surf de Macaé.
A selected group of the best surfers were invited to Pecado Beach for a 2day championship with about $15 G in prizes. Of course, they all enjoyed an endless number of waves and shared it all with the friendly people of Pecado.
A wonderful idea to be followed and annually presented, this surf tournament combined with art activities, live music, gastronomy and environmental education is a must for our coastal cities.
At the end of the day, the Pecado boardwalk took us to that beautiful and well known sunset/dusk at Imboassica Lagoon.
There is more going on today, so we might bring you some new photos and more waves. Stay tuned. And share!
100 to all! Want more? There you go, July 27 waves. Good Luck to all!
